In 2005, Robert Vargas was a student at UC Davis, working on the Clean Up Crew at In-N-Out Burger. There, he learned what it meant to take pride in every detail — from the shine of a stainless-steel counter to the feel of a freshly mopped floor.
In-N-Out’s mantra, “The customer is the most important asset,” left a lasting impression on Robert. While that message belonged to them, the principle behind it — respect for people and pride in workmanship — became part of his DNA and the roots of So Clean Janitorial’s culture.
After college, Robert spent nearly two decades in the healthcare industry as an executive, gaining deep insight into infection prevention, sanitation compliance, and operational excellence across hospitals and medical facilities. That experience expanded his understanding of how cleanliness impacts safety, health, and trust.
In So Clean Janitorial, Robert brought these two worlds together — the precision and pace of restaurant operations with the safety and discipline of healthcare sanitation — to create a company that stands for reliability, integrity, and a personal standard of perfection.
